Preservation of champagne

The champagne has stayed with the producers for the time necessary for its complete evolution. It is therefore neither useful nor desirable to let it age at home" (Comité Interprofessionnel des Vignerons de Champagne).

Indeed, champagne is not a wine for aging, it does not improve with age in your cellar.

It is ready to be consumed as soon as it leaves the cellar.

Keep it simple

  • Keep the bottle lying down
  • Constant temperature
  • Light is harmful
  • Long storage alters the wine

There are several factors that are unfavorable to the conservation of champagne:

* Standing: the cork dries out and the champagne risks losing its effervescence and also some of its aromas.

* Exposure to light.

* Temperature variations
